Parallask

Terms of Use

Last updated: 18 August 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Shuvam Shrestha ("I", "me", "my") covering your use of the Parallask app. By installing or using Parallask, you agree to them. If you do not agree to them, do not use the app.

Licence

You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Parallask on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, rent out or reverse engineer the app, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.

Parallask is licensed, not sold.

You need to be old enough to hold an App Store account in your country to use the app or to buy anything in it.

What the app costs

Parallask is free to use. The free tier lets you keep one plan of your own, use the five built-in label colours, and start a session yourself whenever you like. The tutorial plan the app seeds on first launch is not counted against that limit.

Parallask Max lifts the plan limit, opens the rest of the colour palette, and unlocks scheduling a plan to start on its own at a set time.

Max is available as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-off lifetime purchase. Current prices are shown in the app and on the App Store listing, in your own currency.

All payments, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled by Apple under the terms of your App Store account. I cannot process a payment or issue a refund directly. Refund requests go to Apple.

What happens if Max ends

If a subscription lapses or is cancelled, nothing you have already made is taken away. Plans over the free limit stay, and stay editable and runnable. A label you recoloured keeps its colour. A plan you scheduled goes on starting itself and reminding you, and you can still open its schedule to change or remove it.

What ends is the ability to make new things that Max unlocks: another plan beyond the limit, another paid colour, a schedule on a plan that does not already have one.

Feature updates

Your content

Plans, sessions and history that you create in Parallask are yours. There is no account, no sign-in and no server: everything the app stores stays on your device, and I have no access to it and no copy of it.

Because of that, keeping backups is your responsibility. Deleting the app deletes its data, and neither you nor I can recover it afterwards. See the Privacy Policy for details.

No warranty

Parallask is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

Parallask is a planning and timing tool. It relies on iOS to deliver notifications and Live Activities, and those are scheduled in advance and handed to the system — they may be delayed, silenced, shown late or missed entirely for reasons outside my control, including your device's settings, its power state, and limits iOS places on background apps. Do not rely on Parallask as the only alert for anything where a missed reminder matters — medication, safety or legal deadlines included.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or under any other law of your country of residence that cannot be excluded by agreement. Where such a guarantee applies and cannot be excluded, my liability is limited, at my option, to resupplying the app or paying the cost of having it resupplied.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue or time, arising out of your use of or inability to use Parallask.

To the extent permitted by law, my total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid for Parallask in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for Parallask or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support for Parallask. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version is always at this address, with the date of the last change at the top. Continuing to use Parallask after a change means you accept the updated terms. If you do not, stop using the app and cancel any subscription through your App Store account settings.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that place. If you use Parallask somewhere else, this does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.
