Parallask

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 August 2026

Parallask is made by Shuvam Shrestha, an independent developer based in New South Wales, Australia. This policy covers the Parallask app and this website.

The short version

Parallask collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no server, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party SDK. Everything you put into the app stays on your device.

What Parallask stores, and where

Parallask stores the things you create in the app:

All of it is written to your iPhone or iPad using Apple's own on-device storage, and it stays there. None of it is transmitted to me or to anyone else, because there is nowhere for it to be sent — Parallask has no backend and makes no network requests of its own.

Parallask does not sync your data through iCloud. If you back your device up — to iCloud or to a computer — the app's data may be included in that backup, which is Apple's process and is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

What Parallask does not do

Notifications and Live Activities

When a session runs, Parallask asks iOS to show a countdown on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, and it schedules reminders for plans you have given a start time. All of this is prepared on your device and handed to iOS. Nothing is sent to a server, and Parallask uses no push notifications, so there is no device token and no remote delivery involved.

One thing worth knowing: those cards and reminders carry the names of your plans and tasks, and iOS may show them on the Lock Screen while your device is locked. Whether previews appear there is your choice, in Settings ▸ Notifications and Settings ▸ Face ID & Passcode.

Purchases

Parallask Max is sold through Apple. When you buy a subscription or the lifetime purchase, Apple handles the payment and tells the app whether your purchase is active; the app keeps a note of that answer on your device so it works offline. I never see your payment details, and I receive no information from Apple that identifies you. Apple provides me with aggregated sales and download reports, which do not identify individual customers. Apple's handling of the transaction is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Deleting your data

You can delete any plan or any session from the history inside the app. Deleting Parallask from your device deletes everything it stored, including your plans and your session history. There is no copy anywhere else, and once it is gone neither you nor I can recover it.

Because there are no accounts, there is no server-side record of you to request, correct or delete — under the Australian Privacy Principles, the GDPR, the CCPA or any other such law. Nothing exists to be exported or erased beyond what is on your own device, which is entirely under your control.

Children

Parallask is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.

This website

www.parallask.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics. It does not track visitors, so there is no consent banner to click. My web host may keep ordinary server logs, such as IP addresses and pages requested, for security and reliability; I do not use them to identify or profile anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top. If the change is significant — for example, if Parallask ever began collecting anything — that will be stated plainly rather than buried.
