Reporting a problem
Including these makes a bug much faster to track down:
- Your device, and the version of iOS it is running.
- The version of Parallask you have. You'll find it in the iOS Settings app, under General ▸ iPhone Storage ▸ Parallask, or on the App Store listing.
- What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
- A screenshot or screen recording, if the problem is visible.
Subscriptions, cancelling and refunds
Parallask Max is sold through Apple, so subscriptions are managed in your App Store account settings rather than in the app. Open the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid the next charge. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by me. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Bought Max but the app still shows Free?
Open Settings ▸ Subscription in Parallask and tap Restore Purchases. That brings back a purchase made with the same Apple Account on another device, and it will not charge you again. Make sure you are signed in to the App Store with the account you bought it on.
If Max lapses, nothing you made is taken away
Plans over the free limit stay, and stay editable and runnable. Recoloured labels keep their colour, and a plan you had already scheduled goes on starting itself. What stops is making new ones.
Common questions
A finished task is still sitting on my Lock Screen
Cards can only be cleared by the app itself, and while a session runs the app is usually asleep. A card that has finished turns grey with a tick so you can tell it apart from one still counting, and it is swept away the next time you open Parallask.
My scheduled plan didn't start on its own
Scheduled plans are handed to iOS in advance, and Parallask can only do that while it is open. It books the next plan starting within 24 hours, so if the app hasn't been opened for longer than that, the Lock Screen countdown won't appear. Reminders are separate and keep firing regardless. Opening the app any time before the start sets it up.
I'm not getting reminders at all
Check Settings ▸ Notification Preference in Parallask. If permission was declined, that screen has a button through to the iOS settings where it can be turned back on.
Can I pause, skip or extend a running session?
No, and that's deliberate. A session is pinned to the wall clock from the moment it starts, which is what lets the Lock Screen count down correctly with the app closed and your phone in your pocket. You can end a session early.
I deleted the tutorial plan and want it back
Settings ▸ App Tutorial ▸ Restore Tutorial brings the welcome plan back, and puts its tasks back the way they started if you have moved them. Nothing else in your plans is touched. Reopen the app afterwards to see its tips again.
Your data
Parallask has no account and no server, so there is nothing for me to look up, reset or recover on your behalf. Your plans and session history exist only on your device, and deleting the app deletes them. The Privacy Policy covers this in full.
